Toastmasters International is exploring the feasibility of conducting a future International Convention outside of North America. It has been determined that if a Convention were to be held outside North America, Australia would be the first option for the following reasons:
- English speaking
- Perceived safety
- Strong base of Toastmasters
- Highly desirable vacation destination
- Adequate convention and hotel facilities
- Favorable currency exchange rate
- Unlikely occurrence of a natural disaster such as a hurricane
- Accessibility to Australia for Toastmasters traveling from the Asia Pacific
We recognize there are several factors that influence an individual’s decision to attend an International Convention and that those factors, and perhaps additional ones, would influence whether or not you would attend a convention in Australia.
In an effort to better understand our members’ interest and perceptions on attending an International Convention in Australia, please take a few minutes to complete this short survey.
Your candid feedback is greatly appreciated. We look forward to your comments.
